I was given one of these by my stringing teacher during a course and, having previously used an awl to pull string loops, I was amazed at the difference it made. If you are in the habit of pre-stringing your rackets (as I seldom do, these days) then you will shave several minutes off each job if you have one of these in your tool kit.
They do NOT come as standard with very many stringing machines nowadays (I suppose because pre-stringing is optional), but they cost next to nothing and make a big difference.
